MET official helmet supplier of Cofidis Pro cycling team

MET, the leading Italian brand and specialist in bike helmets production, became the official helmet brand of the Cofidis Pro cycling team with a special edition of the Stradivarius 199, the first racing bike helmet in the world below 200 grams and a special edition of the time trial Pac VII, both models already used by another great road bike team, Saunier Duval who reached several podiums in 2006 season and will be also part of the sponsored teams by MET for 2007.
"We are proud to welcome MET as technical partner of the Cofidis Team, knowing the importance we are giving to riders safety during training and competition," Eric Boyer General Manager of Cofidis competition, quoted at the Cofidis 2007 Pro cycling team presentation in Paris last week.

This partnership could be achieved thanks to the confidence of the "Cofidis product testing riders" who performed the tests against other brands and gave their "thumbs up" to the MET Stradivarius 199 and MET Pac VII TT helmets.

The Stradivarius 199 is using the "UltimaLite" fibre composite which allowing a great reduction of the use of materials in production of a bike helmet and thus to reduce the overall weight, while preserving its resistance. The revolutionary fibre-composite was entirely developed at MET R & D and production department in Talamona, in the heart of the Italian Alps.

MET is also pro active in Pro MTB cycling sponsorships with top off road teams like Cannondale-Vredestein, Gewiss-Bianchi, Topeak-Ergon and Full Dynamix with top helmet models like the XC World Champion Veleno and new ultra light and ultra ventilated Free Ride Kaos.
